NEW GA/HGA SOLID CARBIDE DRILLS WITH WELDON SHANK
Osawa launches GA and HGA, a new series of solid carbide drills with Weldon shank that complete the range of Typhoon solid drills (3xD e 5xD). GA and HGA are designed for general machining applications on a wide range of ISO P, M, and K materials.
GA and HGA are made of sub-micron cemented carbide; together with the new PV400 coating, it ensures they have better wear resistance and lower costs per hole.
The straight cutting edge design and unique edge treatment technology allow higher reliability, with a reduced risks of chipping problems and an improved drilling stability.
The wide range spans from D3 to D20 and satisfies the most of applications. It is available with internal and external coolant, 3xD and 5xD.
“With the introduction of GA and HGA solid drills with Weldon shank, Sorma aims at responding in a more targeted manner to the needs of the German market that is becoming increasingly strategic for Osawa” states Alessandro Sorgato, Cutting Tools Division Director (Solid) of Sorma. “The Typhoon family of solid carbide tools, already greatly appreciated on the European market because of its quality and reliability, fully reflects the philosophy that drives the research on all products of Osawa solid tools”.
